Frequently Asked Questions

What is a life coach?

A good life coach is a detective! I will help shine a light on the parts of your life where you feel stuck. The three biggest questions to ask yourself are: Where am I at? Where do I want to be? What’s getting in the way? Don’t know? Don’t worry, I can help with that as well! I will also encourage, help, and push you to reach your full potential. A good life coach will also keep you accountable. How many times have you promised yourself you’d do something only to lose steam after a few weeks? Not with me by your side you won’t! As your Life Coach I will help you recognize the many possibilities in your life by gaining clarity and confidence. A life coach should leave you feeling empowered, bold, and confident. You’ve heard the term “Living your Best Life”? Yep, that’s where I’m going to help take you.

What is expected of me as your client?

Unfortunately, I can’t do it all for you! You will need to come prepared by identifying the areas of your life you want to focus on. As my client you will need to be open, honest, and reflective. There will be some homework involved such as writing, reading, small actionable steps in changing behavior patterns, etc. As my client you should not only accept change but embrace it! I will challenge your old ways of thinking, and in turn, you need to be ready to challenge your limiting beliefs about who you are or what you think you are capable of. This is not for sissies! This work is exciting stuff and can change your life if you let it.

Are you a therapist?

Nope! Sure not! And please be careful of any coach that says they can act like one. If you have unprocessed trauma, abuse, etc. it’s essential to work with a skilled therapist. But you can be in therapy and have a life coach concurrently! In fact, the two compliment each other quite nicely. I can help keep you accountable to the work you’re doing with your therapist. I’ll will cheerlead you along your journey and remind you of all you’ve already accomplished and how much more you are capable of. Therapy helps take you from a low functioning life to a baseline version of functioning. Life Coaching takes you from baseline functioning to a flow state of high functioning!

Are you a local coach only?

In this day and age we are privileged to be able to work with whomever we connect with regardless of geographic location. I use Zoom, which is very similar to Skype. Zoom is a video conference room where I will be able to record our calls to keep accurate notes. It’s also where I’ll be able to see your wonderful and bright face and really connect while we work together. If you're not comfortable with that I do phone call sessions as well. If you are local, we can still use Zoom or meet face to face. I am a big fan of coffee shops and even the gym! Sometimes the best inner work is done while sweating.

Do you only coach women?

Why in the world would I do that? I love men and their energy. I believe men and women have a lot to learn from each other. There’s much to be gained by working with someone who is of a different gender or identity.

What coaching packages do you offer?

I believe that having a life coach is similar to having a personal trainer. It takes more than one session to get results. As a personal trainer, I only accepted clients who would work with me more than once a week, otherwise it was a waste of their money. Real change with sustainable results takes time! That being said, I understand sometimes we need a quick tune-up or some extra clarity. As a personal trainer, I would accept a one time client who only needed to make sure their squat and deadlift form was accurate. I wouldn’t do one session only with a client who had never been in a gym before Make sense? I offer one time sessions, 5 session packages, and 10 session packages as well as 3 or 6 month packages. Packages should be used weekly for optimal results.
